The problem
Quoting configurable machines depends on a handful of people who know the configuration rules, and configuration errors only surface at production or packing. The same batch of machines needs separate documents by shipment, container and unit, with quantities and amounts checked again and again, while KD packing and unit acceptance are tracked in offline spreadsheets.
What the platform does
| Step | How Tranexio handles it |
|---|---|
| Configure, price, quote | CPQ: configuration engine, pricing engine, margin floor and quote output |
| Master data | Features, feature values, model configuration profiles and option packs; regional price lists and price conditions |
| Orders and delivery | Call-offs, planning and delivery; reserve orders; advance notice of configuration changes |
| Packing | KD packing planning and execution, with packing item master data |
| Acceptance | Per-unit records, unit acceptance and handover notes, factory inspection issues closed out |
| Shipping and documents | Multi-level documentation; multi-currency, Incoterms and multilingual documents |
| Channels | Dealer records and dealer portal, with sell-through reporting from sub-dealers |
Key controls
- Configuration constraints and the margin floor are enforced at quotation.
- Stock-age notices and deposit deduction rules are configurable.
- Machines with open acceptance issues cannot be released for shipment.
The machinery export solution is fully featured; connections to factory-side systems are tested in each project.
