# Complete machinery export

Complete machinery export is Tranexio’s solution for exporters of configurable machines such as agricultural machinery, construction machinery, commercial vehicles and complete plant. It provides configure-price-quote (CPQ), knock-down (KD) packing, unit-by-unit acceptance and handover, and documents at shipment, container and unit level from one source.

## Key points

- **CPQ**：Models are configured from features such as power, drive, cab and certification, constraint rules are checked in real time, and prices are derived automatically from base price, option premiums and tiered pricing.
- **Margin floor**：Quotes below the margin floor are hard-blocked or routed for approval, price items that need review cannot be quoted directly, and a price snapshot is kept with each quote.
- **Regional price lists and configurations**：Standard configurations, eligibility rules and price lists are maintained by sales region, with rule-based fallback when no regional price exists; configurations and prices support validated bulk import.
- **KD packing and delivery**：Machines are exported as completely or semi knocked-down kits, with packing plans, packing items, reserve orders and advance notice of configuration changes managed in one place.
- **Unit-by-unit acceptance**：Each machine has its own record (including identifiers such as the chassis number), acceptance and handover happen unit by unit, and factory inspection issues must be closed before release.
- **Documents at every level**：Invoices, packing lists and customs data are generated by shipment, by container or by unit from the same shipping dataset, with the declaring entity changing according to document type.

## The problem

Quoting configurable machines depends on a handful of people who know the configuration rules, and configuration errors only surface at production or packing. The same batch of machines needs separate documents by shipment, container and unit, with quantities and amounts checked again and again, while KD packing and unit acceptance are tracked in offline spreadsheets.

## What the platform does

| Step | How Tranexio handles it |
|---|---|
| Configure, price, quote | [CPQ](https://tranexio.com/en/resources/glossary/cpq/): configuration engine, pricing engine, margin floor and quote output |
| Master data | Features, feature values, model configuration profiles and option packs; regional price lists and price conditions |
| Orders and delivery | Call-offs, planning and delivery; reserve orders; advance notice of configuration changes |
| Packing | [KD packing](https://tranexio.com/en/resources/glossary/kd-packing/) planning and execution, with packing item master data |
| Acceptance | Per-unit records, unit acceptance and handover notes, factory inspection issues closed out |
| Shipping and documents | Multi-level documentation; multi-currency, [Incoterms](https://tranexio.com/en/resources/glossary/incoterms/) and multilingual documents |
| Channels | Dealer records and dealer portal, with sell-through reporting from sub-dealers |

## Key controls

- Configuration constraints and the margin floor are enforced at quotation.
- Stock-age notices and deposit deduction rules are configurable.
- Machines with open acceptance issues cannot be released for shipment.

> The machinery export solution is fully featured; connections to factory-side systems are tested in each project.

## FAQ

### Can the CPQ handle complex option constraints?

Yes. The configuration engine supports four types of constraint (required, forced inclusion, hidden and mutually exclusive), checked in real time as options are chosen. Each model is a configurable material; once a configuration passes review, the ERP code is written back to create a variant material for the machine, and quotes, orders and shipments all use the same configuration.

### We declare by shipment, pack by container and certify by unit. How are documents produced?

With multi-level documentation. Shipment, container and unit summaries are all generated from the same shipping data, so quantities and amounts agree by design and you no longer maintain three separate spreadsheets.

### Can Tranexio connect to the factory’s ERP and MES?

Connectivity is available. The integration hub provides connectors for ERP material codes and factory production and delivery data, used to write back codes, synchronise call-off plans and track delivery progress; integration testing is completed in each project against the factory systems’ interfaces.

### Is it only for one type of machinery?

No. Configure-price-quote, KD packing, unit-by-unit acceptance and multi-level documentation are common to all complete machine exports, applying equally to agricultural machinery, construction machinery, commercial vehicles and complete plant, with differences handled through features, rules and parameters.
